Disney Fanatic

I love Star Wars, Marvel, and all things Disney! But then again, who doesn’t?

Star Wars – My favorite character is Rey because she is so ambitious and determined. I love R2D2 and BB-8 too. My family enjoy spending our time in Batuu to soak in all of the Star Wars atmosphere.

Marvel – My favorite characters are Scarlet Witch, Loki, Dr. Strange, and Black Widow.

Disney – My favorite characters are Minnie Mouse, Mulan, Ariel, Alice in Wonderland, and Dory.

Gardening and Houseplants

I have always enjoyed plants but I did not become a real plant mom until the pandemic happened.

I have a huge collection of indoor and outdoor plants. My favorites are pothos and vining philodendrons, tradescantia, Rhaphidophora Tetraspermas, and monsteras.

Sewing

I recently learned how to sew and it has been an amazing experience. My neighbor, Kathleen taught me how to use a sewing machine and I felt so empowered. Now I just can’t wait to run to the store to pick up the newest fabric designs and patterns. You will probably find me in the fabric aisle of Joann’s every Saturday morning.

I am still new at this and learned this new hobby out of necessity when my children needed masks for school.

Children's Picture Books

My children inspire me in so many ways. I have always enjoyed books as a young kid as they were a way for me to escape reality. Now my kids and I enjoy collection and reading books together.

Some of my favorite authors and illustrators are Josh Funk, Salina Yoon, Dan Santat, Benson Shum, Andy Harkness, Emily Arrow, Ashlyn Anstee, Ben Clanton, Mo Willems, Laura Numeroff, Dr. Seuss, and Eric Carle.
